Smooth sound (by liz)

If you enjoy the songs on the wedding side of the website, then you have to check out my old friend Carrie Sooter. Carrie was one of the first people I met at Mizzou, at a dance tryout no less, and she was just the sweetest thing with her fluffy red hair. We ended up in the same sorority down the road (I can't beleive I'm admitting to that online!) and this girl from Belleville, IL is now not only the sweetest, but one of the coolest people I know. She lives in New York and has a crazy hip album out. I would describe her music as a jazzy Nora Jones with a hint of country. Check her out at www.carriejeansooter.com. You can listen to some of her mp3 clips and buy her CD if you're interested.

IT'S HERE... Take a look!

The all new www.LPHOTOGRAPHIE.com is here! And it's chocked full of our favorite photos from the last few years.

Kristie and Liz have been shooting together for years, and have taken it to the next level to offer a more complete line of services to our clients. With the relaunch of L Photographie comes new products and opportunities for us to deliver memorable images and make sure every one has fun in the process! For our new gig, Kristie has launched L Photographie Portraits and Liz is continuing with L Photographie Weddings.

We've taken our strengths as both photographers and people and used them wisely to offer some fun new opportunities such as Baby Shower Coverage and the complete Trash the Dress Experience (not as scary as it sounds!) We also love to work together on projects and have each other's back in the rare case of emergency. This is a dream set up for both of us...you could almost call us a "dream team"...no, you're right. We can't play basketball like those dudes. Maybe we'll just go with "dynamic duo"...or maybe we should avoid the cliche names all together. Whatever we are, it's cool. And fun. And we want you to enjoy it with us. So run, don’t walk, to our new site!

Wrong side of the camera

Oh lordy! So as Kristie and I keep mentioning, our awesome new website is coming - sooner than later. And we suddenly realized that we might just need some pictures of each other for it. So we scheduled some time for ourselves and our husbands (always such troopers!) to take a short adventure down to the run down old buildings near the riverfront for some photos. Both of us quickly realized why we are generally on the other side of the camera. When our guys were cocked and ready with our cameras in hand, we stood there and looked and each other and said "now what?!" And things just got goofy and out of hand from there. Lot's of laughing and feeling like silly idiots while praying the homeless people nearby weren't actually watching our debacle. Check it out! Kristie asked me why she was the only one doing dumb things, but I think I had a few in there myself. :)

*Credit for photos of Kristie and I together goes to Steve Sloan & Mike Cromie.

This Guy Rocks! (by kristie)

Tim Session. Local St. Louis artist voted RFT's readers choice for best male vocalist 2007. He is a one man band and so awesome to watch live. A group of friends and myself use to catch him at Felix's every Friday night. He has released his debut CD, which you should run off and purchase at www.timsession.com, but you will also be hearing his songs on the "portraits" side of our new website coming soon! Liz and I are so close to launching our new site and design we can taste it!

Go check out Tim - Friday nights at the Great Grizzly Bear in Soulard, (or for other locations see his website calendar).

And it's not a photo blog without a photo, so here is Tim. I did not take this photo, but think it is very cool (off Tim's website).
